PhD Student Paper Prize: AUD$1000
The Award is open to anyone enrolled as a PhD student.
Papers will be reviewed and judged on the following selection criteria:
Full Research Paper - The award should only be given to a full research paper. Working papers are not eligible to be considered.
Enrolment - the authors must be currently enrolled (or have been enrolled within the last 6 months) at a recognised Australian university as either full-time or part-time student
Derived from a PhD Paper - the paper should be derived from the students PhD and the student must sign a statement to that effect.
Sole Author - The student must either be the sole author of the paper, or alternatively the first author with their supervisor as co-author.
Topic - The topic must be of relevance and importance to the wider field of tourism and hospitality research.
Content - The research should be innovative and original. The paper must present of support a set of findings, implications and conclusions with significant potential and value. The paper should be unique and useful.
Choice and Implementation of Methodology - must be clearly explained by the author(s)
Writing Style - The paper should be accurate, clear, concise and readable.
The CAUTHE Award for Best Full Paper: AUD$1000
Selection Process Guidelines:
Only refereed papers submitted to the Annual CAUTHE Conference Committee in full, by a date specified by the conference committee.
Only papers nominated by a CAUTHE conference referee to be considered for the Best Paper Award will be considered to be eligible by the sub-committee.
Papers considered eligible for the award will be judged by a sub committee of the Conference Scientific Committee, consisting of at least two members of CAUTHE. Outside referees may be invited, as appropriate to assist in making recommendations. The committee will finalize its decisions on the award in time to have the recipient listed in the proceedings of the conference.
The author of the successful paper will be sent written notification of their success and will be invited to be presented with the prize and a certificate at the Conference dinner.

Nomination - The paper must be nominated by a referee
Topic - the topic must be of relevance and importance of the wider filed of tourism and hospitality research.

Poster Presentation Prize AUD$1000
The scientific committee will use the following criteria in the selection of this prize:
Clear Introduction;
Presentation methods;
Organization of topics;
Relationship to CAUTHE2007 theme;
Explantion of definitions;
Audience participation;
Summary/Conclusion
Validity of conclusion;
Level of preparation;
X Factor.
